Food for Depression!!!!

Nov 24th, 2012 by Asif Patel

Of course, depression has biochemical component. Neurotranmsiters such as GABA, Serotonin, Dopamine and acetycholine has to do with depression. Certain conditions like longtime grief, disress, financial burden, continued work -relatyed stress can alter the concentration and functions of the above said chemicals.

Does food play any role?  ”Indeed, some minor depressions can be cured with food only. And protein -rich diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables must be at the core of every depression cure approach! However, if the depression is persistent, only food might be not enough to cure it effectively and you’ll need to add nutritional supplements as well.” (website source)When food is not adequate, believe me, start cooking. It will engage you, will give you cheers and happiness, and may increase the level of neurotransmitters. Doesn’t it sound more  mind game?
